The Summer Show presents the work of over 2,000 13–16-year-old National Saturday Club members who have been attending 106 Saturday Clubs at 80 universities, colleges, museums and other cultural institutions across the country, for free. Each of the eight Saturday Club subjects – Art&Design, Craft&Making, Fashion&Business, Film&Screen, Performance&Theatre, Science&Engineering, Society&Change and Writing&Talking – will be represented in an exhibition designed by Dallas-Pierce-Quintero and Studio Quercus.
The National Saturday Club Masterclasses Programme will also be celebrated at the Summer Show. Leading industry professionals and organisations have led special workshops Saturday Club members throughout the year including Adobe, ARUP, Ceres Power, eBay, ITV Academy, Manolo Blahnik, M&S Archive, Ocean Generation, Pentland Brands, Royal Opera House and Windsor Castle.
The National Saturday Club programme has a transformational impact and a particular focus on engaging young people from underrepresented communities. It is a vital initiative and over the years the charity seeks to grow to reach even more 13–16-year-olds across all four nations.
